ธนาคารอิสลามแห่งประเทศไทย (ไอแบงก์) นำโดย ดร.ทวีลาภ ฤทธาภิรมย์ กรรมการและผู้จัดการ พร้อมด้วยนางนุจรี ภักดีเจริญ ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ นายวรวุฒิ พงษ์ประภาพันธ์ อธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ ตะวันออกกลางและแอฟริกา โดยมีนายเสก นพไธสง รองอธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ฯ และผู้อำนวยการกองตะวันออกกลาง ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ เมื่อวันที่ 11 เมษายน 2566
ในโอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการธนาคารระหว่างประเทศไทยกับซาอุดิอาระเบีย ภายหลังที่ทั้งสองประเทศฟื้นฟูความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันเป็นปกติสมบูรณ์ โดยอธิบดีกรมเอเชียใต้ฯ แสดงความพร้อมที่จะร่วมมือและให้การสนับสนุนธนาคารอิสลามแห่งประเทศไทยในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับประเทศในภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางต่อไป
President of Islamic Bank of Thailand paid a courtesy call on Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs.
Islamic Bank of Thailand (ibank) led by Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom, Director and President along with Mrs. Nuchjaree Phakdeecharoen, Executive Vice President paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs and Mr. Sake Nopthaisong, Deputy Director-General and Director of Middle East Division join to welcome on April 11, 2023.
On this occasion, both sides discuss ways to strengthen banking cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia after the normalisation of the diplomatic ties between Thailand and Saudi Arabia. In this regard, H.E. the Director-General expressed his readiness to support the Islamic Bank of Thailand to promote closer relations between the bank and countries in the Middle East.
